Enter my mind…

Let’s go down the rabbit hole for a little. You don’t know me. Let’s change that. Here are a few facts, quotes, thoughts, random tidbits, and opinions that run through my brain.

1. I journal daily, whether in my bright red journal or notes app.

2. I notice within my own writing when I sit down to put fingers to keys, the energy and ideas flow through me.

I don’t know what word is coming next, where the end of the sentence is going.

One thing I DO know + FEEL is a connection to the source through creative expression.

3. Where do ideas come from? Trust me, I’ve googled this plenty. I still ask to this day.

4. You don’t have to be the smartest.

Sometimes, you must be smart enough to know how to listen and who to listen to.

There are no limits for the man who knows he doesn’t have all the answers but is humble enough to submit to the wisdom of others.

5. ALONE TIME. Being able to be alone and comfortable isn’t easy. I’ve learned over time that a healthy balance of alone is critical.

6. ” I don’t really want to become normal, average, standard. I want merely to gain in strength, in the courage to live out my life more fully, enjoy more, experience more. I want to develop even more original and more unconventional traits.” Anais Nin

7. TRAIN EVERYTHING. Training the mind, soul, and body is a form of self-love.

8. ” I find beauty in all things authentic, pure, and eternal. And so I value honesty, I value holiness, and I value the soul.” -Lauren Britt

9. Either learn or build yourself.

Teach, aka build others.

Implement, aka build something.

ALWAYS BE BUILDING.

10. ” I never wish to be easily defined. I’d rather float over other people’s minds as something strictly fluid and non-perceivable; more like a transparent, paradoxically iridescent creature rather than an actual person.” -Franz Kafka

11. I recently came across VATA mind.

Apparently, some people do better when they are highly stimulated and multitask.

I am one of these people.

I can easily lose interest when focusing on one thing at a time.

This has to be why I excelled in school when I was a student-athlete, full-time employee, and taking more than 4 classes a semester.

Trust me, I learned to work on this.

12. Many of my belief systems don’t match my appearance, which always throws people off.

13. “It takes time to live. Like any work of art, life needs to be thought about.” -Albert Camus
